FAQs

How herbal tea is made??

Herbal tea can be made using fresh or dried flowers, fruits, leaves, seeds or even roots. These are made by pouring the boiling water over the plant and then letting them steep for a few minutes. The herbal tea is then strained, sweetened and then served. You can also opt for infusions in the form of tea bags to attain the best results for your needs. Making herbal tea is also easy as the same use a handful of herbs per cup and then using boiling water, you can cover, steep these for 3-5 minutes and then strain before serving. It is best to preheat the pot and serving cup with hot water.

Will herbal tea stain your teeth??

Many types of herbal, black and even green tea can stain teeth and gums. This is because the same is rich in tannins. However, using green tea means that you have a dull grey stain while black one often leaves a yellowish tone. Similarly, herbal ones like chamomile or hibiscus can contribute to staining and discolouration especially if consumed over time. To avoid these brown stains on your teeth, you do not have to stop the tea intake but need to limit it. For instance - adding milk to the tea or drinking using a straw can help you a lot. You can also opt to steep your tea for a little less time to lighten up a bit.

Will herbal tea dehydrate you??

Drinking four to six mugs of tea every day is good for keeping you hydrated as much as one litre of water. This idea refutes the claim that regular tea drinking can dehydrate the body as it has caffeine content. Although, a moderate intake is healthy for most of the adults, drinking in excess can have a clear negative side effect that can cause anxiety, headaches, digestive issues, disturbed sleep, etc. Drinking herbal tea in moderate quantity can be beneficial for your health but an excess intake can be detrimental to your body. For some the limit of 4 cups is sufficient but for some anything lower can be a good idea.
