Shipping, Taxes & Exchanges

 

Shipping and delivery

At Indianshelf.com, our aim is to ship our products in a quick, safe and inexpensive manner. We deliver worldwide and within India.

For domestic order (delivery within India) we offer courier service only. Delivery will happen within 7 working days from the day we receive the order.

For international orders we offer sea as well as air delivery. It will depend on the mutual agreement between the customer and the IndianShelf. Time delay will be informed to the buyer before they confirm the order.

Taxes

For domestic orders:

The cost of the product covers all the taxes*.

*Octroi or Entry tax:  Due to the nature of interstate shipping, you may have to pay additional duties and taxes which are levied once a shipment reaches your state. The majority of orders will not have to pay any additional fees. However, we are unable to calculate when and how much these infrequent duty charges will be levied. In the case where additional duties or taxes are assessed, customer will be responsible for paying these additional fees. If you are presented with an invoice/receipt from Courier Company for any duties and taxes, you will have to pay Courier Company directly at the time of delivery.

For international orders:

The cost of the product covers all the taxes*.

Import Duties and Taxes: Due to the nature of international shipping, customer may have to pay additional import duties and taxes which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. We are unable to calculate when and how much these customs duty charges will be levied. In the case where additional customs charges are assessed, you will be responsible for paying these additional fees. If you are presented with an invoice for import duties and taxes then you will have to pay at the time of delivery.

Cancellations, Exchanges and Return

Cancellations will be accepted if the order has not been shipped from our end.

Before you return an Indianshelf.com product, please take a moment to understand how our products are made. All our products are handcrafted by traditional craft persons in rural India, resulting in each product being unique and slightly different from each other.

Let’s not think of a minor irregularity or joint mark on the surface of the products as a defect. Handicraft by definition means a glorious uncertainty when it comes to uniformity.

Exchange and return Policy For Orders Within India


• Inform us at indianshelf@gmail.com within 7 days from the date of delivery if any return or exchange needed.
• Email us the reason for exchange or return.
• On approval for the exchange or return customer will be asked to send the goods (in their original form) back to indianshelf. IndianShelf will arrange return delivery

• After receiving the goods back Customer will get an email from Indianshelf approving the exchange or refund. Refunds will be processed through the same online mode in 10-15 working days. Customer can also be asked for Savings bank account details in case the order was placed by cash on delivery. Cusotmer also has the option to put the refund amount in IndianShelf wallet, money in  IndianShelf wallet can be used to make purchases in future on IndianShelf. 

Return Policy For Orders Outside India

As of now we have ‘no return, no exchange, no refund’ policy for all order delivered outside India.
