About the Product

Baramasa Radha and Krishna, the royal lovers, are depicted in the month of Vaishakh cloth painting as they are sat in a terrace pavilion of the palace with a char-bagh garden and rows of fountains in front of them, and a meadow with a column of colourful trees and a distant hill in the backdrop. The young damsel can't get her eyes off her lord and doesn't want to be apart from them. A guard assigned to chase away trespassers from the royal couple is getting ready to draw his bow and arrow and shoot at the crow whose harsh cawing is upsetting his master. The palace residents venerate the "Bata" or banyan tree outside the palace entrance because it is thought to bring happiness to marriages and unions. a ceremony for honouring the banyan tree.On the thirteenth day of the dark fortnight of Jyaistha, the month that follows Vaishakha, a ritual called as Vata Savatri Puja is conducted. Two soldiers carrying bows and arrows are seen returning after a hunt in the foreground, metaphorically symbolising how the worship rite was successful.
